Help students get registered
If someone doesn’t have a barcode for you to scan, you can help them get registered.
When they register using your personalized QR code, you automatically get their info.
- Ask them to scan your QR code
- Have them fill out the fair registration form
- When they complete it, they’ll receive a barcode for the fair, but you don’t need to scan it. Their info will automatically be added to your scans!
How do I know if the student filled out the registration form?
In the mobile app, you'll see a RepAssist purple badge next to the student's name. If you do not see any students with the badge, the student may not have completed the registration form.
Can I use RepAssist for parents/supporters or counselors?
Yes! Parents/supporters and counselors can also scan your RepAssist QR code and register. They'll have the option to select Parent or Professional on the registration page.
Why should I help students get registered?
StriveScan works with every fair coordinator that hosts an event that uses StriveScan. We offer training, resources, and best practices to help them get their students registered. However, even in the best-case scenario, some students may slip by without getting pre-registered. As a result, we wanted to provide representatives with the ability to help students get registered. Not only does this benefit the representative by reducing the number of paper inquiry cards, but it also benefits the student, fair host, and other colleges.
When can I use this QR code?
The QR code displayed is unique to both you as the user logged into the app and the fair that you are scanning into. This is what allows us to link a student after they register and add them to your fair data. Do not use this QR code outside of the fair.
How do I change the institution logo that's displayed?
We display your institution's logo above the fair name and your personalized QR code so the student knows they're not just registering for the fair, but that their data will be shared with your institution, too. The logo that is displayed comes from your team's Institution Profile and can be updated by a team admin.
